Registering
How do I Register?
Registering to ride the Homeschool Trading Train is a simple three step process! Step 1 -- Simply click on the "Register" Train car to get your free Trading Train pass. Step 2 -- You will then be asked to enter your basic information and create a special username and password so you can login to the Trading Train as a member. Step 3 -- You will be redirected to the member's login page and for your first ride on the Trading Train you will be requested to enter your username and password. That's simple!

Change personal information
How can I change my personal information?
Log onto the Trading Train, click on the "Community" Traincar, then click on "My Train" account to change any of your personal information.

Email Address
Which email address should I use to register?
Use an e-mail address which you check on a regular basis.

Privacy
Will my email be added to other mailing lists?
Your email address will not be sold or given out to any third party at anytime, ever. You may read our Privacy Policy here.

Tracking
Tracking of Identifiable Information.
Our server is set up to track or collect browser/connection information about its visitors. For example, we can tell which Internet Service Provider our visitors use, what country their from, if there using Anonymous web surfing servers or if their using an download agent. This aggregated information is used internally to better provide services to the public and prevent fraudulent purchases of our products.

Selling an Item
How do I go about Selling my Homeschool stuff?
You must be a registered user to sell on the Trading Train. Login at the "Sell" traincar, then click on "Sell my Item". Fill out the form and verify that all the information is correct, and this item will be listed for all to see! Be sure to describe the item accurately and vividly so that it prospective buyers will have a good idea what the item is like. Also, if you have a picture of your item, you may enter a link to that picture in the "Sell Your Item" Form.

Pricing an Item
How should I price my item?
Use your best judgement, but price the item so that it will not sit for a long time. Perhaps you would even consider trading with another person.

Expiration of an Item I'm Selling
When does my item listing expire?
The item is not set to expire automatically. When the item sells or is no longer available then you should remove the item from your "Items I'm Selling".

Remove an Item I'm Selling
How do I remove an Item that is no longer available?
You may cancel an item you're selling on your "Items I'm Selling" page. Simply click on the Remove link and your item will be automatically removed from the listings.

Change an Item I'm Selling
How do I change an Item I'm Selling ?
You may change an item you're selling on your "Items I'm Selling" page. Simply click on the Change link and you will be taken to a page where you can update your item information.

Buying an Item Listed on the Trading Train
How do I buy an Item I see that I would like?
Click on the "Buy now" button/link and you will be directed to Paypal where you can send money to that person

Ask a question about an Item
How can I ask the seller a question about the Item they are selling?
Click on the ask seller a question and you will be directed to a page where you can find out that users e-mail address. Please note that you must be logged in to use this feature.

Put an Item on My Wish List
How do I add an item to my wish list for later purchase?
Click on the add to Wish list button/link and that item will be added to your wish list. You can view your wish list at any time by clicking on "my Wish list" in your "My Trading Train" page.

How to Search for an Item
How do I Search for an Item?
Click on the "Search" traincar on the Trading Train at the top of the page. Then type into the form what you want to find!

Browse All Categories
How can I browse through all the Items listed in a specific category?
If you want to find all the items in the category Math, for instance, you would go to the home page and in the top of the yellow box is the "Train Depot". Select the category you want from the pull-down menu and press "Go!" You will then be directed to a page listing all the items in that category. When you see an item you like, click on the item number to get more of the details, including how to buy the item or contact the seller for more details.

Searching for a Specific Item
Can I narrow my search to a specific item?
Sure! If you already know exactly what you are looking for, enter several key words or phrases in the "Search" page. Items that have that word anywhere in them will be returned for you to view.

Understanding the detail page
What is the detail page?
Once you've made a successful search, and clicked on the item number, a detail page opens up, giving a more complete definition of the item in which you are interested. You could choose to "Buy the Item" right then, "Ask the seller a question" about that item, or if you're not sure yet, then "Add to Wish list" for later viewing.

What does the Community traincar do?
Clicking on the Community traincar takes you to a members-only section where you have access to your personal account information, members forums, select homeschool news and links, and much more. Check it out here.

My Trading Train
How do I use the "My Trading Train" page?
The "My Trading Train" is a special area just for you. It lists all of your personal information, as well as subscription information. This information can be updated at any time. Also, it lists "Items you're Selling" and has a "Wish List" where you can track items for sale on the Trading Train which interest you. Last of all, is a feedback page, so you can view and leave feedback related to your Trading Train transactions.

What are the member forums and how do I use them?
The member forums are a private place where only members can discuss homeschooling and other topics related to educating our children. Make new friends, get advice, recommend a book, you can do it all here! Simply click on the link and enter your info.

How much does a subscription cost?
There is absolutely no charge to ride the Trading Train.

How can I change my subscription?
The only way to do this is to Cancel your current subscription and then register for a new one.

When does my subscription expire?
Your Trading Train boarding pass is not set to expire.

Canceling a Subscription
How do I cancel my Subscription?
Go into your "My Trading Train" account and scroll down until you get to the Subscription information. There is a link there which allows you to cancel your subscription. Please note that you will be redirected to Paypal where you will need to sign in and cancel using their form.
